On-Site Activities
As you can imagine, some of what's available in the way of activities is weather contingent. We'll have a better idea once our date approaches.
Below are ideas for activities at or close to our home.

Our home is located in the Ottawa National Forest. We have trails that begin on our property and wind through the forest. We and our neighbors maintain these trails throughout the year. Additionally there are miles of "official" trails that are professionally maintained.

There will be kayaks available at our home for your use. It's one of Sophie's and my favorite activities.

There are countless opportunities for scenic hikes. From the trails directly off our property to the Porcupine Mountains, there are miles and miles of beautiful wilderness and landscapes to explore.

We have a pontoon boat, two Sea-Doo Sparks, AND - BIG MABEL (tubing).

Rogers Bar is a favorite of ours. Grandpa Jack Rogers built it in 1939. Back in the day, they catered to lumberjacks, hunters, and fishermen. Today they are a local favorite and serve seasonal landowners like ourselves. Greg Rogers and his wife Sue now run the bar. Rogers is an ATV trail ride away.

Kirsten and Jim Boehm recently recently sold Cisco Lake Bar to Spencer and Nick. Like Rogers, Cisco Lake Bar is an ATV ride away. Their bar is located on Cisco Lake and has quickly become another local favorite. They are hosting an ATV run on Saturday,

Our neighbors and good friends, Curt and Barb Aarud commit their winter months to their model train project. The floor above their garage is home to a creative and detailed train village. They welcome and enjoy sharing their set-up.

Range Officers, John & James, will lead an instructive and unique live-fire target shoot. Exotic guns and exploding targets will amuse all participants.
